Highway 93’s Icefield Parkway is a MUST DRIVE scenic route

The Icefields Parkway, or Hwy 93, is one of the most scenic drives in the world. It runs between Banff and Jasper in the Canadian Rockies, and is famous for its waterfalls, rock spires, ancient glaciers, and turquoise lakes.

However, there are a few things you should know before setting out to drive the Icefields Parkway. Here are a few tips:

    1. The Icefields Parkway is a mountain road, and as such, weather conditions can change rapidly. Be sure to check the weather forecast before you set out, and be prepared for anything.

    2. The road can be busy during peak season (July and August), so be patient and plan your trip accordingly.

    3. There are plenty of pull-offs and scenic viewpoints along the Icefields Parkway, so take your time and enjoy the views.

    4. Remember, this is a wilderness area. Be sure to practice Leave No Trace principles, and pack out all your trash.
