Seeking Validation from Others vs. Ourselves

We often attract emptiness when we find someone in our loneliness. This is because we are seeking attention and validation from others instead of finding it within ourselves.

We may feel like we need to be with someone else in order to feel complete, but this is not the case. We are whole and complete on our own, and we don’t need anyone else to validate our worth.

When we realize this, we can begin to fill our own emptiness with self-love and compassion. Then, we will no longer need to seek validation from others, and we can be content in our own company.

When we’re talking about validation, it’s important to remember that we’re not just looking for validation from others. We also need to learn how to validate ourselves. This can be a difficult task, but it’s an important one.

One of the best ways to learn how to validate yourself is to think about what you would say to someone else in your situation. Would you be critical or supportive? Try to be as kind and understanding to yourself as you would be to someone else.

It can also be helpful to remember that everyone makes mistakes. No one is perfect. So, if you make a mistake, don’t beat yourself up over it. Just learn from it and move on.

If you’re having trouble validating yourself, it might be helpful to talk to a trusted friend or family member. They can offer you some perspective and help you see the situation in a different light.

No matter what, always remember that you are worthy of love and respect, both from yourself and from others.

Until next time friends – Love and Light,
